It may surprise you but the fact is what it is.
We have so many expectations from our children, that we forget how much, we ourselves pressure them.
We start young, we order them away as soon as eighteen months and admit them into play schools.
Wanting them to talk before they learn to babble.
Wanting them to be trained in every way, when they barely know to differentiate from fire and ice.
We speak to them in English so that we can show them off, in front of our friends and family.
We do everything in our power to make them into growns up even before it's their time to be...
We shower them with branded clothes and gadgets*
We give them extra things to make sure that we keep them updated with that kid who looks very smart and stylish.
And still after doing everything ourselves, we complain that our children are demanding.
We even blame them if they don't act as we have taught them too.
What are we wanting to make them into?
Why have children when you can get robots.
Won't they be as well behaved as we want!
Why won't we let our kids have a bit of massy behavior in them.
It's alright if they won't get an IB - IG - ICSE - CBSE education. State levels would be just as good as any other education.
Why won't we focus on things that are smaller instead of the big standards.
Why won't we include kindness that one has to share.
Why don't we teach our children to not discriminate others with the power of their cars.
Why won't we explain our children that a house birthday party is as much fun as those that are held at a big five star.
We don't always have to put someone else down to pull ourselves above.
Isn't there enough of problems that we will come across in life to add on to these small worries. Aren't those shoulders too small to carry the weight of the classy side.
Can't we just focus on being good?
Ponder your thoughts.
